FAQs

Overview

FAQ pages are designed to hold one question accompanied by its one answer. An FAQ page is not intended to be viewed on its own as a standalone page, instead; the question-answer details are rolled into a Repeater (FAQ accordion) and displayed together with other FAQs at the bottom of content pages. In this way relevant FAQs are made available throughout the Watercare website. FAQ pages can be sorted into groups by creating them under pages in the content tree.

FAQs in the content tree
  1. FAQ langing page (standard Watercare Page (menu item) page type with Content template)
  2. FAQ (Watercare FAQ page type, no template)
  3. FAQ Section (standard Watercare Page (menu item) page type with Content template)

Create FAQ page

FAQ pages are created as per any other web page (see How to create a page) and the page type Watercare FAQ should be selected. There is no requirement to select a template.

More information URL

Often there is a web page with holds the information or action the user is searching for. Use the Select button to choose the relevant web page from the content tree. When the FAQ is displayed as part of the Repeater (FAQ accordion) the More Info button will take the user to the page which is linked in this field.

FAQ accordion on a content page

The below image is an example of what the FAQ accordion looks like on the page. It will typically be placed at the end of any page content. The Repeater (FAQ accordion) is a widget which appears on content pages by default and rolls up related FAQ pages for display on the page. If no FAQs are related to the current page no content will display. See the repeater training documentation for more details on configuring FAQs as they appear on content pages.
