Mangere: biological nutrient removal upgrades

What’s happening?

We are upgrading the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and improving our biological nutrient removal process. This project is part of an upgrade of the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The centrepiece is a facility that uses bacteria to remove nitrogen and phosphorus from the wastewater stream. High levels of these nutrients in waterways can harm the environment.
